SUMMARY:Free Stranger Safety Community Event
DESCRIPTION:460\,000 children are reported missing in the United States each year. Don’t let your child become a statistic. \n\n\n\nThis FREE workshop is provided by ActivStars Athletics as a public service to the community. Enrollment in ActivStars Athletics programs is not required to participate. \n\n\n\nChildren and adults are encouraged to attend. Bring family and friends for hands-on skills to protect your loved ones. \n\n\n\nWe are hosting the event at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Eustis. Eustis Police Department will be on site to support. \n\n\n\nSafety Awareness and Abduction Prevention– Stay alert\, recognize danger\, and avoid risky situations \n\n\n\nStranger Danger and Common Lures– Learn tricks strangers use and how to respond with confidence \n\n\n\nSelf-Defense and Street Skills– Use voice\, awareness\, and real-world self-defense techniques to stay safe \n\n\n\nFamily Rules and Outside Safety– Establish a family code word and practice safe habits outdoors \n\n\n\nWorkshop will be geared toward specific age groups as follows. \n\n\n\nWorkshop Schedule:6:00 – 6:45pm: Ages 4-66:45 – 7:30pm: Ages 7-97:30 – 8:15pm: Ages 10 and up \n\n\n\nThis is NOT a drop off event.
